Care is best when it comes from family.
Denizen helps families get paid, trained, and supported to care for the people they love.
You're not alone — millions of Americans struggle with caring for family.

Denizen was started by a few friends who met at MIT and became colleagues in the home care industry. We have deep experience running high-performing home care agencies. We know how to:
- Provide industry-leading care.
- Support caregivers through a challenging role.
- Navigate complex healthcare systems like Medicaid and long-term care insurance.
But just as important as that, we know what it's like to care for family and to work with agencies as a client. As agency operators, we used innovation and empathy to regularly break the mold of traditional home care so that we may improve quality and affordability for our clients. We created Denizen to help the families who really need it deliver that care themselves.
Every element of Denizen is experience-informed. We designed it with the family caregiver in mind. We make it as painless, quick, and clear as possible because we know you already have your hands full. We manage approvals, certifications, training, and the ongoing support you need to get up and running as a paid family caregiver.

A few things we build everything around.
Family makes the best caregivers
The person who loves someone shows up differently than someone assigned to them. That care is worth paying for.
Getting paid shouldn't be a maze
The benefit already exists. Our job is to make the path to it simple enough that families actually reach it.
Support shouldn't end at a certificate
Training, a clinical team, and a community stay with you — not just at the start, but for as long as you're caring.
Where you live shouldn't decide your care
We work across the country, so a family in any state can get the same support.
Our support and experience show up in client outcomes, caregiver satisfaction, and lasting relationships.
